IN CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Fennel Famicorn
Canon: My Little Pony: FIM
OU/AU/OC: OC
Canon Point:Between Season 3 and 4
History: Fennel was born in a very rural part of Equestia called Coltsburg. There Fennel was raised on a small peach farm, one of the few farms owned and operated by Unicorns. She helped her family grow and harvest the peaches, and she thought that she was going to work there her whole life just like her parents and their parents. However, deep down she felt unfulfilled. No matter how hard she tried she couldn’t get into the spirit of Peach farming.
One day, she was manning the peach cart in town when she spotted a magazine in a nearby window. It was called, “Pony Gamer Monthly”, and on the cover was a stallion in full armor fighting a dragon. She had never seen anything like it. She quickly left her cart and went inside to read it. The Magazine was talking about the popular Dungeons and Dragons game, which was getting an new addition. Fennel was never told any fantasy stories as a kid, and was instantly hooked. The Magazine was a special issue, that came with dice and a players guide. She spent all her money on it, ran home, and started to read the players guide. When she picked up her D20 and rolled it, she knew what she wanted to do. She wanted to become a great gamer, and open up her own shop one day. Right then her cutie mark appeared.
Her parents did not approve of this new discovery at all. They wanted her to run the peach farm, and they were not going to let this stop their plans. They forbad Fennel from playing any games in the house, and gave her a curfew. She didn’t let that stop her as she snuck books into her room, and went out and played as well. She got very good at this game, and many others, including video games. She would go off telling her parents she was going to a pear eating contest a few villages down, when she would actually go to video game and D&D tournaments, where she would always win. Her parents soon discovered this, and locked her in the house intending to never let her leave. However, after a month of being locked up, Fennel escaped with all of her possessions, and never looked back.
For the past 3 years Fennel has been living with a fellow gamer in Clydesdale, working at a gaming and hobby shop in the city. While their she improved her gaming skill, and traveled winning fighting game tournaments in Hyper Farm Fighter 4, Super Smash Equines Battle, Soul Bridle 3, and Skull Ponies, and also dabbled in Trading card tournaments, D&D conventions, and LARPing events. All the money she got she saved to achieve her dream: Opening up her own Game and Hobby shop so she can let other ponies discover these fun activities and maybe help some ponies find who they are.
After 3 years and countless tournaments and money savings, she finally had enough to start making her dream a reality. First, she got a Custom made Arcade machine that she always wanted. It is custom made fighting game cabinet with the 6 fighting games she plays (Hyper Farm Fighter 4, Super Smash Equines Battle, Soul Bridle 3, Skull Fillies, and Sleep or Awake 5 Ultimate, and Pokken Tag Tournamant 3) that allows 1-4 ponies to play together. She then purchased a demo cabanit that was made to play some of the current games being released, so she could show off games to potential customers. It currently has Super Maria Sisters 3D World, Mare Do Well Origins, Maria Kart 8, and Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Equestria. She then went looking for a good place to open up her shop, and settled on a little town called Ponyville. After she bought selling rights for a bunch of video games, Card games, D&D books and supplies, table top supplies, and LARP equipment, she loaded up her kart and made her way towards Ponyville.
Personality: Fennel is a fairly outgoing and happy Pony. She loves to chat, mainly about different D&D and video games. She can go on for hours about the different classes, jobs, abilities, and monsters. She can get a little too excited about it though, but she tries to keep her excitement in check. Because of this she comes off as a little too intense to some ponies.
Fennel is a great gamer, and loves to teach people about games. That is one of the reasons she is opening up her new store, “The Prancing Pony Hobby Shop”. She is very knowledgeable about all things game related, be it table top games, card games, and video games. She plans to hold classes to teach ponies just starting out. She may get a little too detailed about certain things, but she is a good teacher, and the few ponies she has taught in other towns have learned a lot, and have even been able to teach other ponies.
Due to her past, Fennel does get very emotional to ponies that criticize games and what she does. She will argue ruthlessly to ponies that say gaming is stupid and only for Fillies. She also holds grudges on ponies that badmouth games for a while. This is all due to how her parents acted with her. If the pony apologizes for insulting games, she will forgive them, but she will still be a little wary of the pony.
When she gets into the competitive gaming scene, her personality changes slightly. She talks smack to her challengers, but it is in all good fun. Most of the competitive gaming scene is like that, but hardly anyone takes what they say seriously. It’s like how ponies in sports insult the others, but are friends after words. However, if someone takes it seriously, and really starts to insult Fennel or other gamer ponies, or just being a bad sport, she will verbally attack them back. She looks down on ponies that are sore winners or losers, ponies that rub their wins in the losers faces, or complain that Fennel or someone else cheated when they lose. She scolds them, tells them that this is all in good fun, and avoids the pony if they keep it up.

Strengths: She is very knowledgeable about her hobby, and is happy to go into great detail about it if anyone asks her. She also is very good at teaching ponies about how to get into or play D&D, LARPing, TGC, video games, and table top games. She also is pretty honest, and tells it straight.
Weaknesses: While she can talk for hours about her hobbies… she is out of the loop for quite a few other things. She also feels out of place in places she isn’t familiar with, and is a bit awkward around new Ponies, sometimes saying things before thinking. Also, she tends to… overload people with information about the stuff she likes.
Possessions: Her custom made Arcade Machine, complete with the Magical Power source(needs lightning to recharge it, last about 10 hours per charge), Her demo arcade cabinet(Also runs off the same power source) Her custom made D&D dice(full set, about 20 dice), Her EVE Trophy, And the kart she was using for moving(that holds all this stuff).

Third Person:
Down in the central shopping district of Ponyville there is a shop. The shops seems to be in a state of repair, part of it painted, and a half finished Logo of a Pony with some dice. On the winder there is a sign saying, “Coming soon, The Prancing Pony Game and Hobby Shop.” Inside, there a few lights on, and the 2 arcade machines are casting the store in flashing lights and the cry of fireballs being thrown. A lone unicorn Pony walks out of the back room, carrying a box labeled “Warhammer Supplies”, and sets it down near the Arcade machine. “Ok,” She says to herself, “Time to set up the play tables.”

Her horn glows and a table raises from a corner, along with a bunch of mats, grids, and miniatures. They fly to one corner of the room, and start to set itself up. A green mat lays across the table, and miniature trees place themselves on it. A Hill forms on the table, and rocks are placed around it. Soon, the top of the table looks like a forest, complete with multiple paths, a hill, a few meadows, and even a lake. Fennel walks over to look at her work . “Hmm, let’s make this path a little larger,” She said as a path started to expand. “And lets add a cave over here to lead to underground dungeons.” Soon that table was done. “Ok, now for the castle town!”

After 30 minutes she had 10 large tables set up. A forest map, a castle town map, a cave map, a labyrinth map, a desert map, a Cloudsdale like map, a temple map, a coliseum map, and a demonic map. It was all very well made, and the parts were moveable, so ponies can change them for different adventures. Fennels smiled brightly. “I would so play on these maps,” She said as she floated stools around the tables, “And if I would play it, that means everyone else will love it.” After that was all set up she walked over and took a bite from her flower sandwich. “I still have a lot of work to do, but I am starting to see my dream store in this place.” She takes another bite, then begins to work on the shelves to hold her merchandise.
